Over the past few years, I have found it to be the combination of certain colors and light, that determines whether or not I am drawn to a picture – more than the motive itself. I do know that this is a very unoriginal realization, but since I was (and still am in some ways) prone to focus on motives, it has broadened my horizon in terms of photographic potential. Nevertheless, portrait photography will probably always be my preferred genre.
